Meet The Team
Building upon our combined local and international management and educational experience of over 20 years, we invite you to join us in the Digital Product & Innovation School – a modest initiative designed to assist the IT&C in its next phase of growth.
Our Story
The development of the IT&C sector in Romania and Eastern Europe has been one of the greatest success stories in the region. Build on a solid technical education tradition and exceptional execution discipline, world class “nearshoring” companies have been established servicing clients from throughout the world and in every sector of the global economy.
In the early 2000, the competitive advantage of the industry was low-labor costs aided by favorable fiscal policies. However, with the integration within the European Union, that advantage started to erode, forcing Romanian companies to search for a different sustainability model. Significant efforts have been made to transform the typical computer programmer from an invisible order-taker into a digital consultant, and the trend is likely to continue. The Romanian IT&C companies are investing heavily into business and management trainings for their developers thus increasing the value of their services to their clients.
In the 2020 the IT&C sector is poised for a second phase of development, mainly innovative digital products. There are already a few notable success stories and even a global unicorn, validating that digital products can and should complement services. Further, we believe the Romanian community has the technical and business potential to compete in the global markets of artificial intelligence, robotics, biotech, etc.
Unfortunately, the Romanian education system, similar to its global counterparts is ill-equipped to meet the demands of a dynamic and turbulent industry. Given a number of political and financial constraints, it is not graduating sufficient number of students. Further, it is lacking the necessary instruments to equip the graduating students with the necessary innovative and collaborative skills. Building upon our combined local and international management and educational experience of over 20 years, we invite you to join us in the Digital Product & Innovation School a modest initiative designed to assist the IT&C in its next phase of growth.
